Are we trying to practice ourselves perfect?
This is a question that I’ll explore with you on the podcast.
The idea came to me this week during my, you guessed it!, kundalini yoga practice. This has been bringing all of my shit to the surface. And one of the things I’ve noticed about myself and others are the ways in which we try to use our practices, strategies and tools perfectly. As if the more perfectly we do them, the more healed we will be.
But that’s not really the case is it?
We’re all just out here doing the best we can and sometimes we trip up and let perfectionism get in the way.
But when perfectionism sneaks into our healing practices, it becomes dangerous.
When our healing modalities become toxic that’s even worse.
If you’re like me and suffer from perfectionistic tendencies, this is a great episode to help you tune in deeper to where the root of those is coming from and lean into releasing them.
I hope that this episode was a healing balm for you. I get really personal, maybe more so than I ever have on the podcast, and honest about the ways that this still shows up for me.
Because it’s not one and done, my friends.
You will not arrive at a point where you are magically healed. Even if you’ve done aaaalllll the practices and aaaalllll the courses. This I can promise you because I really have done aaaaaalllllll the things and I’m still figuring my shit out.
