Episode 082 - Embracing your emotions | Self-acceptance mindset
Have you ever had one of those days where you woke up feeling ‘off’?
Things just maybe aren’t flowing the way you want them to. Or you’re experiencing a big emotion but you can’t quite put your finger on what you’re feeling or why you’re feeling that way?
That was the inspiration for this episode.
It all started a few weeks ago where I woke up feeling decidedly weird. Nothing was outwardly wrong. Nothing ‘bad’ had happened in my life. I just felt strange.
I took my time that day, giving myself a bit of space and grace for what I was feeling and then at a certain point I decided to do something productive - wash the dishes.
And while I was standing at the sink, present with what I was doing and just letting my thoughts come up I had an aha moment.
It is never actually about the emotion.
In this episode, I talk about embracing your emotions with self-acceptance and shifting the stories you’re telling yourself about what your feelings mean. I dive into how to release judgment, honour your emotions and show up for yourself with compassion and openness.
